With July 30 2007, 2016, the artists finally reflect on the nature of the artistic glance, once again telling a story in pictures. On the July 30, 2007, both Ingmar Bergman and Michelangelo Antonioni – two directors able to create and destroy worlds starting from the study of the moment and of the fragment, died. MASBEDO captures the glance of Bergman’s Summer with Monika (1956) – lingers on the audience, and on the shreds of the villa belonging to one of the main characters of Antonioni’s Zabrinskie Point (1970) – as it explodes into the air. These two instances overlap in a slow dance of fragments. Here again the main protagonists are after all the gestures, glances and moments interweaving men, machines and objects.
Con July 30 2007, 2016, gli artisti riflettono finalmente sulla natura dello sguardo artistico, raccontando ancora una volta una storia per immagini. Il 30 luglio 2007 sono morti sia Ingmar Bergman che Michelangelo Antonioni, due registi capaci di creare e distruggere mondi partendo dallo studio del momento e del frammento. MASBEDO catturano lo sguardo di Summer with Monika (1956) di Bergman – indugia sul pubblico, e sui brandelli della villa di uno dei personaggi principali di Zabrinskie Point (1970) di Antonioni – mentre esplode nell’aria. Queste due istanze si sovrappongono in una lenta danza di frammenti. Anche qui i protagonisti principali sono in fondo i gesti, gli sguardi, i momenti che intrecciano uomini, macchine e oggetti.
